What to Expect:

• Observe our scouts in action as they demonstrate how to safely chop wood and build a camp fire.

• Learn basic compass skills participating in a glow stick compass course.

• Learn how to craft a stretcher, then race against the clock in our rescue relay.

• Parent Q&A: Talk with adult leaders about upcoming camping trips, rank advancement, and our family troop structure.

• Flexible Participation: We welcome multi-sport and multi-activity youth. While the Scout troop meets weekly, a Scout’s involvement can be tailored to fit their schedule.

Why Scouting?

For middle schoolers, the most fun aspects of Scouts often revolve around adventure, greater independence, and building strong friendships through challenging activities. Scouts BSA allows middle schoolers to lead their own troop and plan the kinds of activities they find most exciting.

With over 135 merit badges available, Scouts can dive deep into subjects they are curious about, like robotics, digital technology, photography, and business. It's a fun way to find new hobbies and maybe even a future career.

From cooking over a campfire to navigation with a map and compass, scouts learn valuable outdoor and survival techniques. Weekend campouts and summer camps provide immersive experiences in the wilderness.
