Troop 494 of the Boy Scouts of America hails from
North Madison, CT. The Troop has been proudly
chartered by the
North Madison Volunteer Fire Company for 55 years. Meetings are held in the firehouse located at
864 Opening Hill Rd
Madison, CT 06443.
Meetings are on Mondays from 7:00 to 8:30 PM
(September to June).
Known as the “Camping Troop”, Troop 494 is very active in providing camping, hiking, and other outdoor opportunities for our Scouts every month of every year.
Troop 494 works with the scouts weekly on advancement by providing guidance and creating an environment that lets them succeed on their own. The scouts must achieve the ranks of Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, and Life before being eligible to earn the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
