Scout BSA Troops 494 & 1494 are now inviting ALL YOUTH ages 11-17 to join our Troops! Meetings are on Mondays, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM at the North Madison Volunteer Fire Company, 864 Opening Hill Road, Madison, CT. Click here for more information!
The Need.
All funds raised enable the kids to participate in scouting activities and adventures, so they can continue to develop and grow in the troop.
The Challenge.
During and after the pandemic, the Troop made the decision to move our lawn and garden sales from door-to-door to online. This approach has been working well since then, however with less visibility in people’s neighborhoods, word of mouth is extremely helpful. Please send your friends and neighbors to us for their springtime lawn and garden needs!
The Opportunity.
We are also mailing order forms to our past customers. You can certainly print and mail in an order form from this site too!

“The Camping Troop”
Troop 494 has always been known as the camping troop. From short weekend outings to week-long high adventure trips, the Scouts always have rich experiences that provide opportunities to learn new things, establish leadership skills, and take a break from technology to enjoy the outdoors. To help offset the costs of our adventures, summer camp fees, and BSA annual dues, please consider purchasing lawn and garden care products or donating to help support the scouts of Troop 494!
